In addition to our top picks on the CB&J bookmark, we have also included a few more in this post, because there are just SO MANY amazing children’s books on compassion!

After reading Hey Little Ant, we purchased this ant farm and welcomed our new pets to the family! The boys had the best time watching the ants dig tunnels, feeding them and, of course, naming them!
*I would strongly recommend having two or more adults present (preferably those who are not intimidated by large ants) when you transfer the ants from their shipping container to their new “home” as this was slightly traumatic for me, and many ants were killed when I once attempted this by myself.
Additional extension activities are sent through our CB&J email to go along with the books below: Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon, The Teddy Bear, The Invisible Boy, and a feeling activity that can be used with any of the feelings books such as How Do YOU Feel ?, How Are You Peeling, or The Color Monster.
